Easter has come and gone

You've never truly experienced Easter until you've seen it through the eyes of your child.
We spent last weekend at Mom and Dads Place and watched our children experience their first easter.
We started out by going to the park and picking up plastic eggs.  I swear, if you ever want to see what's it's like to be a wilder-beast being eaten by a piranha, then just watch what happens at an Easter Egg hunt.  I was holding my 1 year old and I'm glad I was, because as fast as the bigger kids moved through the little kids area, picking up eggs, he'd have been picked up by mistake.  Honestly, it was like watching a swarm of locusts moving through a maize field.  There wasn't anything plastic left on the ground at all.

On Sunday, we went to church, and I couldn't believe it when the kids pastor gave them yet more plastic eggs and candy.  For crying out loud, this is Church, where you are supposed to learn about the Ressurection, not plastic eggs full of candy.

After church, we went to my parents house, where,  yes you guessed it, another easter egg hunt.  At least this time, the eggs were easily found and the kids got to have fun, and you guessed it, I confiscated and threw away all the candy. (chuckles)  My kids are sweet enough (Not to mention hyper enough,) without any more sugar added.

I did have a lot of fun visiting with my family, and can't wait until the next time.
